Terms of Use
The terms that apply when you use Our Futures Trading.

Acceptance of terms
By using Our Futures Trading you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

Nature of the platform
Our Futures Trading is a connecting platform between Providers, Funders and Trusted Partners, helping opportunities move from where they exist to people who can benefit. We are not the provider of the underlying opportunities. Providers remain responsible for the opportunities they list and deliver. Trusted Partners remain responsible for matching funded or claimable opportunities with people they support. Open Opportunities are not funded through Our Futures Trading. People apply or enquire directly with the Provider.

No agency relationship
Nothing in these terms creates an agency, employment, partnership or joint-venture relationship between Our Futures Trading and any user.

Provider responsibilities
Providers are responsible for safely delivering the opportunity they list, holding any required qualifications or insurance, treating recipients like any other customer or participant, and keeping their named operational contact details up to date.

Trusted Partner responsibilities
Trusted Partners are responsible for matching opportunities with people they support, obtaining and retaining any required written consent, safeguarding, keeping their named operational contact details up to date, supporting the recipient through the opportunity, and providing at least an anonymous outcome / impact note at completion.

Funder responsibilities
Funders agree that contributions are made in good faith to support opportunities and are not charitable donations. Funders are responsible for choosing whether unused funding is refunded or reallocated when the platform asks them to make that choice.

Claim workflow and contact sharing
Trusted Partners may claim funded opportunities on behalf of the people they support. Once the Provider confirms a claim, contact details of the Provider and Trusted Partner are shared with each other so they can arrange delivery directly. The Provider may instead request clarification or escalate operational issues to Our Futures Trading.

Payment protection
A Funder pays Longer Table Limited, which operates Our Futures Trading, to support a specific funded opportunity or eligible funding scope. Once payment is confirmed, the funding is recorded against that opportunity or scope under these Terms and the Platform Rules. When a delivery milestone is met, Longer Table Limited makes the payment it owes the Provider under the platform arrangement, in satisfaction of its own contractual obligation to the Provider.
Payments are not released at claim stage.
For opportunities where a Provider is due payment, the first 50% is released only once both the Provider and Trusted Partner confirm that delivery has started. The remaining 50% is released only once both confirm completion.
Provider-contributed value is not paid back to the Provider.
Payments may be paused where there is a dispute, cancellation, withdrawal, refund, payment failure or other issue requiring review.
Payments to Providers may be made through different payment service providers depending on the Provider’s country. All payments remain subject to the applicable delivery confirmations, verification requirements and dispute procedures.

Disputes, escalation and Our Futures Trading authority
Either party may report a problem or escalate it to Our Futures Trading.
Where there is a dispute, fraud, suspected misuse, cancellation, withdrawal, payment issue or conflicting confirmation, Our Futures Trading may review relevant opportunity, claim, payment and communication records needed to understand and manage the issue.
Our Futures Trading may pause payments, confirm milestones, process or arrange refunds where appropriate, manage reallocation chosen by a Funder, require additional information, or take other reasonable action under the Platform Rules.
Where delivery has already started or money has already been released, cancellation, withdrawal or disputed completion may require Admin review before further action is taken.
Payment disputes and chargebacks may also be reviewed by Our Futures Trading and may affect the recorded funding status of an opportunity.

Expiry, refunds, reallocation and failed opportunities
A Provider may list an opportunity with an expiry date or leave it open until funded.
If an opportunity expires and a Funder has unused, uncommitted funding attached to it, the Funder may choose to have that amount refunded or reallocated to another eligible opportunity in the same currency.
Our Futures Trading does not reallocate unused funding attributable to a Funder’s contribution without that Funder choosing to do so.
If the Funder does not choose within 14 days after expiry, the unused amount is refunded.
A Funder may also request an earlier refund of any part of their contribution that remains genuinely unused and uncommitted.
Funding already committed to an active claim, delivery in progress, a paid milestone or a completed opportunity cannot be withdrawn through the normal self-service refund process.
If a Provider cancels before delivery starts, unstarted claims may be released and unused funding refunded. Once delivery has started or a payout has been released, cancellation or withdrawal may require Admin review.

Consent, privacy and photography
Recipients are not publicly identified. Anonymous impact notes are the minimum required at completion. Anonymous quotes, photos or identifying stories may only be shared where the Trusted Partner confirms written consent has been obtained from the recipient.

Intellectual property
The Our Futures Trading name, logo, website content, design, graphics, platform wording and related materials belong to Longer Table Ltd or are used with permission. Users may not copy, reproduce, adapt or reuse platform content, branding or materials without written permission.
Providers, Funders and Trusted Partners retain ownership of content they submit, but grant Our Futures Trading permission to use that content as needed to operate, display, promote and improve the platform.

Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Longer Table Limited is not liable for indirect, consequential or special loss arising from use of Our Futures Trading.
For direct loss, Longer Table Limited’s liability is limited to the amount paid or payable through Our Futures Trading in connection with the relevant transaction or service giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory rights under applicable consumer protection law.

No guarantee of outcomes
We do not guarantee specific outcomes from any opportunity. We do our best to verify Providers and Trusted Partners, but verification is not endorsement.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
- 16
International rights
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under the laws of your own country. If you are located in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection or privacy laws, those rights apply to you in addition to these terms.
